Could be brighter in high light situations but hasnt bothered me yet. RTX 2060 works great for blender and doesn't slow anything down, and from a 3d modelling standpoint should future proof you for a bit as the ray tracing and other fancy hoo haas get more implementation for non gaming usage in the future. The battery life is better than average for a gaming laptop, but if you research it at all you'll find it is relatively low in general due to the specs in this or any real gaming laptop. Havnt done anything that could be considered real gaming on it, but for everything thus far I've thrown at it for the past 2 weeks its been great. But once you peel all of the stickers off and buy some black vinyl and a sticker to cover up the hideous glowing "predator" logo, you can actually be an adult in public with this thing, getting things done.

Only immediate downside to this laptop are the gamer aesthetics on the lid, which you cant turn off due to it being the light shining through from your display.

Between reviews, specs and price this thing came out on top. Was looking at the helios 300, the razer blade, and all the rest. This thing is great for blender, and so far everthing else. I'm using the latest BIOS with my voltage settings unlocked!!!Scoured the internet for a laptop that would do 3d modelling and game development in unity. Hopefully you get lucky.Ĭool thanks for that. This time I didnt need to, but everytime it did, i would need to restore the BIOS to factory. FYI- I had to annoyingly downgrade the BIOS everytime it automatically updated to the latest version. Weird, but yeah, now I'm using the latest BIOS with it being unlocked. When it rebooted, my clocks were still unlocked, settings unlocked and I could still play around with my voltages. Previously it did this more than 5 times, after a while, when it installed, I would automatically go into the device manager and uninstall it / remove the updated firmware so it wouldn't install upon the reboot.Ĥ days ago, it did it again, although it rebooted and installed the latest Dell Bios - Dell Bios 1.12.0 - But before this updated, I ensured I had installed the latest version of the ALIENWARE Command Center on my Dell G7. My windows 10 machine decided to download the firmware and install it. I'm using the latest BIOS with my voltage settings unlocked!!!
